TOM HOLLAND'S WILD FIRST DAY WITH NOLAN: 'I THOUGHT I WAS TOTALLY BOMBING!'

The Spider-Man star spilled on his nerves working with Christopher Nolan on 'The Odyssey'—until he learned the real reason for all those cuts.

Tom Holland had a MAJOR panic attack on his first day filming Christopher Nolan's epic 'The Odyssey'—and he thought it was all his fault! According to Variety and Deadline, the young actor (playing Telemachus in the Imax blockbuster) told Fandango he was convinced the legendary director hated his performance because Nolan kept yelling "cut" constantly. "I thought I was totally sh*tting the bed," Holland admitted.

Turns out, Holland was sweating for nothing! The constant cuts weren't about his acting chops at all—they were due to the technical demands of Nolan's massive Imax cameras. "Working with the Imax cameras for the first time is an experience," Holland explained, finally understanding that the gear, not his talent, was the real culprit.

Well, that's one heck of a learning curve! Holland's relief must've been HUGE once he realized the holdup. The actor's role in 'The Odyssey' hits theaters July 17, so fans will get to see his take on the epic tale—Nolan-approved and all!
