TEYANA TAYLOR TEARS UP AS JANET JACKSON HONORS HER AT BET AWARDS!

Talk about a moment! Teyana Taylor was accepting her inaugural Icon of the Year award at Sunday's BET Awards ceremony at LA's Peacock Theater when Janet Jackson stepped up to honor her—and the actress/performer couldn't hold back the happy tears. According to E! Online, Taylor got real emotional as the 60-year-old icon presented the award.

While accepting the loaded title, Teyana got vulnerable about what it all meant. "Tonight they handed me a title and that title is Icon of the Year and for a little minute I wondered if I was supposed to feel uncomfortable saying [it]," she shared with the crowd, per Us Weekly. Talk about imposter syndrome hitting the stage!

The 2026 BET Awards (hosted by Druski on June 28) brought out the A-list across music, film and everything in between—Janet stunned on the red carpet in oversized pinstripe pants and a coordinating blouse layered over a Tupac graphic tee, while Queen Latifah, Lizzo and T.I. were also in the house for the high-energy performances and celebrations. But it was clear Teyana's Icon moment was the real tearjerker of the night!
