The BAFTA and Emmy-winning writer is diving back into prestige TV with a sweeping eight-part historical political drama.

Stephen Poliakoff is coming BACK to the big-budget drama world, and he's bringing serious firepower with him! According to Variety, the acclaimed writer—fresh off multiple BAFTA and Emmy wins—is attached to create "The Order," an international political thriller that's all set to shake up your screen.
The eight-part series is a full-throttle dive into one of history's wildest moments: the months leading up to and during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. We're talking grand-scale European drama, political intrigue, and the kind of sweeping historical storytelling Poliakoff does best. The project was announced by Malta Film Commissioner Johann Grech.
This is Poliakoff's return to large-scale television after focusing on other projects, and "The Order" promises to be exactly the kind of epic, prestige drama that made his name. Think lavish production values, complex characters, and the kind of writing that keeps you glued to your couch for just one more episode. History buffs and drama lovers? Start clearing your schedule!
