SPYMOB'S BIG COMEBACK! Pop-Rock Quartet Reunites 20 Years After Calling It Quits
The group that once backed Pharrell Williams' N.E.R.D. is getting the band back together after two decades apart.
Remember Spymob? The pop-rock quartet is making a triumphant return! According to Variety, the band — which broke up in 2005 — is officially reuniting after 20 years. Talk about a comeback we didn't see coming!
Back in the day, Spymob made waves as the opening and backing act for N.E.R.D., the alt-rock side project of Neptunes superduo Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo. The group even scored a historic moment as the first rock band to sign to Star Trak, the Neptunes' own imprint — a massive deal that showed how seriously the music world took these guys.
After spending those years riding the wave with N.E.R.D. and building their global fanbase, the foursome decided to go their separate ways in 2005. But hey, everything old is new again in rock 'n' roll! The reunion is a sweet reminder that sometimes the bands we thought were gone for good have one more chapter to write.
No word yet on new music or tour dates, but we're already hyped to see what Spymob has cooking after all these years!
