LAST KIDS ON EARTH IS GOING LIVE-ACTION AT DISNEY!
The beloved animated series is getting a brand-new pilot order—and the team behind it is seriously stacked.
Hold onto your hats, fantasy fans! Disney+ and Disney Channel just handed out a pilot order for a live-action version of Last Kids on Earth, based on Max Brallier's bestselling book series. The animated version already won hearts everywhere, so now it's time to bring the adventure to life on the small screen!
The dream team behind this one? Gotham Knights co-creators Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux are adapting the books, while Kevin Tancharoen—who's got serious credits under his belt (The Book of Boba Fett, anyone?)—is set to direct. According to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, this is shaping up to be quite the production.
With this much creative firepower behind the project, fans of Jack, Quint, Dirk, and June have plenty to get excited about. The live-action adventure is still in pilot phase, but if the creative team's track record is any indication, we're in for something special!
