HARVEY KEITEL HONORS CINEMATOGRAPHY LEGEND ROBERT RICHARDSON

The two-time Oscar winner got his due at a Czech film festival this weekend—and Harvey Keitel was there to celebrate his pal's incredible career behind the camera.

Robert Richardson, the three-time Oscar-winning cinematographer who's shot masterpieces for Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, and Oliver Stone, took a bow at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival over the July 4th weekend. The occasion? A world premiere screening of "Robert Richardson: The White Devil," a new documentary about the legend's life and work, directed by Czech filmmaker Jana Hojdová.

Harvey Keitel showed up to pay tribute to his fellow heavyweight, reportedly getting so emotional about Richardson's contributions to cinema that he literally ripped up paper in celebration. Talk about a standing ovation! Keitel called Richardson "one of the world's greatest cinematographers"—high praise from a guy who's worked alongside the best directors in Hollywood.

Richardson, apparently known in the biz as "Big Bad Bob" (a nickname Brad Pitt himself coined!), carves out time from his jam-packed schedule to attend the Czech Republic festival premiere. The documentary started as a student project but evolved into a full-on love letter to a man whose lens has defined some of cinema's most unforgettable moments. According to Deadline, Richardson even sat down for interviews at the festival to chat about his legendary collaborations and wild shoot stories.

From "Kill Bill" to "The Aviator" to "Platoon," this guy's resume is basically a masterclass in visual storytelling. And now the world gets to see his journey up close!
