DAVE PORTNOY'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: Pod Feud & Politics?
The Barstool boss is stirring the pot on two fronts—dredging up old drama with 'Call Her Daddy' stars AND eyeing NYC's top job.

Dave Portnoy is keeping the spotlight hot! The Barstool Sports founder recently opened up about the messy 2020 exit of 'Call Her Daddy' co-hosts Alex Cooper and Sofia Franklyn, claiming the pair had reportedly planned to accuse Barstool of sexual harassment as a way out of the company, according to THR Business. Yikes! The split was definitely acrimonious, and now we're getting the behind-the-scenes tea.
But wait—there's more! The media mogul, 49, is also apparently considering a leap into the political arena. During a Monday, June 29 interview with Jesse Watters, Portnoy revealed he's been thinking about running for mayor of New York City, Us Weekly reports. "I've always thought that I would never get involved in politics. I think you can do more in the private sector," he explained. That said, he's apparently reconsidering!
The internet wasted no time dubbing him the "Spencer Pratt of NYC" for his dramatic musings. Only Portnoy could stir up decade-old podcast drama AND toy with a mayoral run in the same news cycle. Talk about keeping things interesting!
