BROOKE SHIELDS GOES TO BAT FOR SOUTH PARK CREATORS' RESTAURANT WORKERS

The Actors Equity president made a surprise visit to Casa Bonita to stand up for staff claiming unsafe conditions and low pay.

Brooke Shields isn't just talking the talk—she showed up in person! As president of Actors Equity, the legendary actress made a stealth trip to Casa Bonita, the Denver-area Mexican restaurant co-owned by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, to protest working conditions there, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The visit was personal. Workers at the popular eatery, including performers in the restaurant's signature gorilla suit act, have raised serious concerns. One performer reported being sexually grabbed over 20 times on the job, per The Hollywood Reporter. Us Weekly reports that staff have also flagged safety concerns and wages they say fall short of fair standards.

Shields' ambush visit signals that Actors Equity is taking the allegations seriously—and that Casa Bonita's celebrity ownership won't shield it from scrutiny. The union has a track record of fighting for fair treatment of performers, and this time they're bringing the heat to a beloved Colorado institution.

It's a reminder that even beloved TV creators aren't exempt from accountability when it comes to how they treat the people working in their spaces!
