ANNE HATHAWAY SAID NO TO 'KNOCKED UP'—HERE'S WHY

Seth Rogen just revealed the real reason Princess Diaries star backed away from Judd Apatow's baby comedy before Katherine Heigl took the role.

Hold onto your popcorn! Seth Rogen spilled the tea on "The A24 Podcast" about Anne Hathaway's exit from the 2007 hit "Knocked Up." Turns out, the actress passed on playing the lead opposite Rogen because of a graphic birthing scene in the script—one she felt didn't mesh with her public image. "She felt that it was not her brand," Rogen explained, speaking candidly about why the Oscar winner stepped away from what would become a comedy classic.

The role ultimately went to Katherine Heigl, who delivered an unforgettable performance as Alison Scott opposite Rogen's Ben Stone. Interestingly, Rogen was dishing about all this while on the podcast with director Olivia Wilde and promoting their new film "The Invite"—and get this: Wilde actually auditioned for that same "Knocked Up" lead role back in the day but didn't land it either!

So while "Knocked Up" became one of Judd Apatow's most beloved comedies, it's wild to think how different the movie might've been with Hathaway in the starring role. Sometimes it's all about finding the right fit!
