ALICIA VIKANDER JOINS AARON TAYLOR-JOHNSON IN NETFLIX'S 'ENIGMA VARIATIONS'

Oscar winner Vikander is heading to the streamer for a steamy limited series based on André Aciman's bestselling novel.

Hold onto your remotes — Netflix just locked in a power duo! Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Ex Machina) is officially joining Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the streamer's upcoming limited series Enigma Variations, according to Variety and Deadline.

The show is based on André Aciman's bestselling novel and comes from writer Amanda Kate Shuman and director Oliver Hermanus (All of Us Strangers). Taylor-Johnson plays Paul, a man navigating romance and desire across decades and continents. Vikander's role is being kept under wraps for now—but with this casting, we're already obsessed.

Netflix first greenlit the project way back in January 2025, then officially picked it up to series in March 2026 with Taylor-Johnson attached. Now with Vikander on board, this limited series is shaping up to be must-see TV for fans of intimate, character-driven storytelling.

No premiere date yet, but we'll be watching this space!
